Conference sessions will run on 4 days of the conference for a disciplined 4 hours, generally starting early to late afternoon depending on the evening event.
Conference sessions always include a paper on medical litigation and a separate session on medical law. And we try to do such sessions in an interesting way – like when husband & wife team Dr Dan Peleg head of delivery ward in Rabin Medical Center &, Attorney At Law, Israel, gave a joint presentation on Cesarean Delivery on Maternal Request – Medico-Legal Aspects (Yael Peleg being a plaintiff medical litigation lawyer!). Other fascinating medical speakers at these conferences have included Dr Karl-Heinz Kuenzel, Professor of Anatomy – University of Innsbruk who cut up the Ice Man & gave a discourse on forsensic anatomy using the Ice Man as an example. Clinical papers have also been given on asbestos diseases, intellectual property & medicine, and a host of other areas.
The program for 2012 is not yet finalised and will be released soon. It will include sessions on medical negligence, professional misconduct issues and specific topics in medical law.
This conference runs in combination with our Val Thorens Conference in the Three Valleys in France in the week before Easter 31 March to 7 April 2012. There are many options on travelling from Val Thorens

The Australian and New Zealand Disaster and Emergency Management Conference
EARTH: FIRE & RAIN

The Conference is to be held at the Brisbane Convention Centre, Brisbane, Australia.
The Conference will provide a forum to examine the issues surrounding natural and man-made
hazards.
The program format will consist of keynote addresses, concurrent sessions and workshops. There will be more

It is a joint initiative of the Australian Institute of Emergency Services (Queensland Division) the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association Inc and the Association for Sustainability in Business Inc. Each association is a Non-Government, Not for Profit, Member Based organisation.
The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) released a National Strategy for Disaster Resilience in February 2011. It agreed to adopt "a whole-of-nation resilience-based approach to disaster management, which
recognises that a national, coordinated and cooperative effort is needed to enhance Australia's capacity to withstand and recover from emergencies and disasters".
