Since inception, ASEM has always valued the intellectual rigor and efforts required of trainees and others, to complete research projects and present their findings as scientific papers before their peers. In recognition of excellence in this regard, ASEM allocates a significant proportion of it's annual operating budget to reward best paper presenters at numerous emergency scientific meetings throughout Australasia. Winners of ASEM best paper prizes receive a cash prize, complimentary membership of ASEM for 1 year as well as publication of their abstract in ASEM Newsletters.
